It’s that time of year again and we have to say “see you later” to one of our interns…..Or DO we?! Jessie was the Marketing intern for DO over the last 12+ weeks (he was actually our intern for fall and winter) and we are so glad we had the opportunity to work with him as an intern. We asked Jessie to answer a few questions about his experience and this is what he had to say: 1. Now that you’ve completed you internship – How would you define Digital Marketing? Marketing that can actually be tracked. Unlike traditional marketing like print, outdoor, or television, you don’t really know how many people actually saw your ad. With digital marketing that is not the case. 2. How was your role crucial to the success of the agency? When there were certain projects that needed to be done, I would assist on the project or take care of a project that was needing to be worked on next. 3. Who were your mentors at DO and how did you like working with them? My mentors at DO were mostly Mandy and Dan. They were both awesome and I learned so much from them. 4. What did you learn from your internship? Since I helped with both PPC and analytics, I learned a lot from both sides. From keyword research, bid management, writing ad copy and using analytics, to tracking events/conversions and writing up client monthly reports. 5. What were a few of your favorite memories while interning for DO? There were a few favorite events, but some that come to mind are the 5 year anniversary party which was a blast. Also me getting Google and Marin certified. 6. Would you recommend the internship program to your classmates? Yes 100%. I think that if you are wanting to go into an agency for digital marketing an internship is crucial. 7. You’re finished……Now what? Because of my internship at DO I was able to get a job at Geary LSF as their Media Coordinator. I could not have done it without the knowledge I got from interning at DO and all the help from fellow co-workers.
Congratulations Jessie on your job with Geary LSF - We know you will be successful in everything you put your mind to. And do all of your new coworkers a favor.......avoid eating mushroom soup when it's hot!! We're so proud of you!
